A+ Rating for NW Edison's Safety

       

Northwest Edison is an industry leader in safety standards, can your lighting contractor say that?

     

Most contractors are focused on getting the job done quickly so they can move on to the next project, and unfortunately, often times, safety is forgotten. Northwest Edison however is proud to take a different approach. While we’re all about getting the job done on time, safety is always a main priority.

Northwest Edison has an A+ rating by ISNetworld, who monitors and verifies safety programs on contractors worldwide. Many of our customers, such the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) require such programs and minimum requirements met before hiring a potential contractor.

With the ISNetworld, there were 26 different categories that we had to submit paperwork and training on in order to cover all OSHA and L&I requirements. These categories included topics such as Blood Borne Pathogens, Ladder Safety, Scaffolding, Hazard Communication, and Lead Awareness etc.

Our ESCO partners also check in with Northwest Edison from time to time to make sure that we are following the safety guidelines as well. Just last week we received a perfect safety score from McKinstry at our street lighting project in Bellingham, WA. The safety inspector reported that our crew operated in a very thought out method, and the communication between workers was impressive.
